About me

I am a Clinical Psychology Associate and psychoanalyst working from a psychodynamic and psychoanalytic perspective.  I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples focusing on how symptoms are formed, how patterns repeat over time, and how unconscious processes shape emotional life and relationships, rather than simply seeking to eliminate or reduce symptoms. This depth-oriented approach fosters meaningful, lasting change while reducing the intensity and frequency of symptoms.

My approach does not begin with diagnostic labels. Instead, I listen for the unique way each person experiences their difficulties, approaching symptoms as meaningful expressions rather than problems to be simply eliminated. The work aims to create space for reflection, new meanings, and a different relation to one’s experience and desire.

I hold a Clinical Psychology degree from the Central University of Venezuela and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Psychiatric Hospital El Peñón. I am a registered member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA) and certified with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBO) in school and clinical psychology.

I have over two decades of clinical experience, including nearly a decade dedicated to couples therapy under consistent supervision. My background includes work in art therapy and psychiatric hospital inpatient settings. I work with individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, PTSD, eating disorders, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive patterns, and, when stable and under appropriate medical supervision, certain psychotic conditions. I continue in ongoing supervision, refining and deepening my clinical work.

I provide virtual and in-person therapy in Oakville and Georgetown, Ontario, in English and Spanish.
